HOME Free Software Download Site Comparison Chart I mentioned how excellent the internet is in getting chicks (or, for you ladies out there, meeting guys).  And I just wanted to tell you about a book that I've read, How to Succeed With Women.  This book is an excellent way to hone your skills at meeting girls (or, for you nerds out there, acquire them for the first time ;-).  You may know a lot of the stuff in this book, but it is very motivating; and it works like everything else in life - the more you immerse yourself in a certain way of thinking, the better you'll be at doing whatever you're thinking about.  It really is packed with excellent advice, take it from me.  So check it out - I've already found the lowest price for you at DoubleDiscount.com.  You can also get a used version at Half.com that may be cheaper.  I'm talking about the book by Ron Louis and David Copeland; don't confuse it with the book by Anthony Badalamenti.

ZDNet - The second best download site. IT Pro Downloads - Has lots of small programs that are not found elsewhere.  Used to be named FileMine. NoNags - Even though it doesn't have any features, it is rated fairly highly because it has a decent categorization of many excellent programs that are completely free.  The search algorithm is also very good:  you should use the "boolean" (with 'and') or "exact phrase" search. Tucows - The search algorithm does not work very well:  it returns files whose description doesn't include some of the search terms.  This site also lists the same program many times, which is annoying. File32.com - This site is not listed in the table because it doesn't have very many programs, but it does have a nice interface. DaveCentral - Searching is too difficult at this site and it didn't even list SynEdit.
